Scott Bain admits he’s very surprised and happy at the same time that he is being trusted to be given a run in the Celtic first team.
The Celtic goalkeeper has been started as first team keeper in Celtic’s first three matches of 2019 and the 27 year old has kept three clean sheets.
That is what Celtic need, two goalkeepers fighting it out every week for a starting spot and not just assume they are the clubs number one choice.
Scott Bain was quoted saying:
“Craig’s always played to the highest standard you can imagine. It’s been a surprise to get games,” said Bain.
“When I’ve come in, I’ve done well enough to show that I’m capable of playing at this club.
“We’re both experienced enough for the manager to say, ‘you’re going to play’ or ‘you’re not going to play’. We prepare every week as we’re going to play anyway. I don’t think there needs to be a clarification on it.”
