Ryan Jack has admitted that he is constantly asked about his relationship with Celtic star Callum McGregor when playing for Scotland.

As both players have become heroes in the same side after helping Scotland reach their first major tournament in 22 years, the Rangers player has stated that they both get on while wearing the Scotland shirt as they are professionals.

The media are clearly trying to get a story from Jack, as both players are enemies at club level.

“I’m always asked this question because Callum’s at Celtic and I’m at Rangers.” Jack explained to SunSport.

“Big rivals at club level when we play each other. But when we come away for Scotland, we come away to be professional and do a job for our country.

“It’s balanced off well between us. It’s working well and that’s why we’ve been playing together. The manager has recognised that and, as players, we’ve recognised it too.

“But I don’t think it’s just down to me and Callum having a good relationship. It’s also down to our team spirit.

“When we meet up everyone’s buying into how we play and how the manager wants us to set up. It’s been a real squad and team effort.”

The Scotland pair will no longer be friends after Wednesday’s game against Israel and we can finally get this season back on track as Celtic need to find their previous winning form.
