For years the fans have spoke about SLEEPING AT THE WHEEL..this demise isn’t a shock or surprise to us Celtic fans as even when we had success under Brendan Rodgers the fans spoke about this,
Dermot Desmond, Peter Lawwell and co in the board have an enormous task in getting a manager and the footballing structure brought together within in the next week or so for the start of pre season and the qualifying campaign for the Champions League.
What is really concerning me is that players who are assets to the club are now in the last year in their contracts like Ajer and Edouard. Why we keep our main assets to this time in their deals and now the sell on value isn’t as close to what it should be really in today’s market. We should be selling when the iron is hot as much as fans don’t want our best players away it is better to sell when at peak value,
The fact we don’t have a manager in place or footballing department we don’t know who will come in and replace some of the players who may be leaving. Mohamed Elyounoussi, Jonjoe Kenny and Diego Laxalt have now left the club at the end of their loan deals and the squad needs rebuilt very quickly with Scott Brown also away.
The board sleeping at the wheel has caught them up and they owe the fans a massive appointment and they need to act fast.
