Celtic could be ready to put their faith in another manager if Neil Lennon fails to win their next domestic match as sources have confirmed that the club has named their next man.

According to sports site 90min, the Scottish Champions have already sounded out a swoop for Ipswich Town boss and former Celtic icon Paul Lambert as a potential replacement for underfire Neil Lennon.

Celtic have extended their poor run of form in which the Parkhead side have only managed to win two games out of twelve.

This awful form has led to fans calling for Neil Lennon to be axed from his manager job, fans have even started regular protests outside the stadium.

There have been many names being passed around on who will take the Celtic hot seat, but 90min have confirmed that Paul Lambert has been the club’s number one choice should Lennon be let go from his role.

However, the board have backed the Hoops boss on many occasions now and are eager for the 9 in a row winning manager to turn things around but also understand that it must be instantly.
