Vasilis Barkas has today proved his critics wrong as the Celtic keeper helped his side to a 5-0 thrashing of Ross County.

The Hoops goalie has received some unexpected criticism from two former Celtic players lately as both Kris Commons and Andy Walker have been trying to insist that Barkas isn’t up to the task at the Scottish Champions.

However, another former Celtic player came to the defense of the big Greek as Sutton has defended the last few performances of the goalie.

The big mountain of a keeper managed to pull off some very impressive saves that allowed Celtic to stay comfortably ahead against Ross County,

This performance should silence all the doubters and they must stop comparing Barkas to Forster as the Englishman no longer plays at the club.

Even though Celtic won 5-0, it could have been a different scoreline if Barkas wasn’t able to pull off those vital saves.

Since the Greek goalie signed with Celtic he hasn’t really put a foot wrong, the goals that were conceded in past games were due to very poor defending that could have easily been evaded if our players were switched on at the time.
