Former Hoops striker Chris Sutton believes that Celtic already have the man who can take Legendary Captain Scott Brown’s place if the leader has to remain out on the sidelines.

There’s no doubt about it, that Lennon will be worried if the Celtic Captain is out with an injury for some time.

Most players who are 34 years of age are usually winding down their playing time or even struggling for game-time, but Brown remains the heart of this Celtic squad as Brown has been the driving force for the past decade and a fearless leader in the Hoops.

But Sutton thinks that Frenchman Christopher Jullien would be Lennon’s ideal man to step in and be a leader for the Bhoys as he has this natural quality.

“The French defender has never looked back since he had that starring performance at Ibrox against Rangers at the beginning of the season.

“Sure there’s been the odd moment, but, in the main, he’s developed into the sort of stopper you would expect to be getting when you shell out £7million.

“Jullien is brave. You could see that the other night when he was absolutely smashed in the face by a challenge and he recovered and responded in the ideal manner.

“He reads the game well and he made some vital interventions as he often does. The goals that he is managing to score down the other end of the field are just an added bonus.

“You can see that other players are responding to him now. He has a presence on the pitch and within the group which has been growing and developing since he signed.”

Jullien has been the only new player from the Summer window that has took very well to the Celtic style of play and of course life in Glasgow.

The big defender has been constant in his performances and errors have been minimal.
