Celtic are rumoured to be interested in signing Blackburn Rovers striker Ben Brereton as a possible replacement for Odsonne Edouard should the Frenchman move on from the club.

The 22 year old Chilean star has been on top form for his country during the Copa America tournament, it’s believed that the Celtic scouts have urged the board and Postecoglou to make a move now before the player’s stock rises further.

We have it on good authority that Blackburn have set a price of £8 million for their star player and Celtic could be ready to make a move for him soon.

Brereton played 40 league games for Rovers last season and scored 7 goals, but Celtic would be playing a far more attacking style of football that would suit the striker better.

In this years Copa America so far the striker has played 3 games and scored 1 goal, Celtic need quality players added to their squad as there could be players about to leave with Ntcham already heading out the door.
