Jozo Simunovic could have found himself a club after the former Celtic defender was released from his contract back in May.

The 26 year old had a Celtic career filled with injury and fitness issues and its crazy to think that the player is only in his mid twenties.

However, the bid Croatian didn’t leave the Scottish Champions on bad terms as fans will always have fond memories of his glorious tackle against Kenny Miller that sent the Sevco striker to the moon and back.

Another and probably the most special moment in Simunovic’s Hoops career was scoring a tribute goal to the great Billy McNeill, the defender wore the number 5 shirt and also netted on the 67th minute of the game.

Some Celtic fans now looking back to the beginning of the pandemic would have kept the 26 year old but the club made the choice to not extend his contract for a further year.

It now looks like the big defender will join Croatian side Rijeka and the Hoops support wishes Simunovic all the best in his future career in football.
