Scott Robertson’s loan from Celtic to Gillingham could prove to be the making of the Hoops starlet as last night he was on fire and dominated that midfield area against Coventry City in the English League Cup.

The Hoops midfielder was phenomenal in the middle of the pitch and had total control of that match as Gillingham dumped Coventry City out of the League Cup.

But it was his penalty that earned him the plaudits after the game as Celtic Twitter lit up, the match went to penalties and Robertson chipped the keeper with such calmness at a vital moment.

Celtic might have a player coming back next season who can maybe forced his way into the first team if Robertson manages to keep up this form for the rest of his time at Gillingham.

The Gillingham fans were proud of the player and gave him the credit that was due, his performance will surely be making tracks back to Neil lennon.
