Celtic fan favourite Victor Wanyama is trying to hash out a deal with his club Spurs to get his contract terminated after failing to find a club on deadline day of the January transfer window.

The French media have confirmed that Wanyama wasn’t happy with the move to French club Amiens, even though a deal was close to completion.

The former Celtic powerhouse wants his contract terminated so he can speak to clubs freely without the need of approval from Spurs, this potentially would open the door for Celtic or any other club to try and sign Wanyama with only wages to deal with.

It was clear the Celtic fans were not happy with the board not managing to sign anyone on deadline day, it would be a long shot for Lennon to attempt to bring the former Hoops player back to Glasgow but in football anything can happen.
