Neil Lennon has made a few confirmations ahead of their match against AC Milan and the misery continues to surround the club.
On the back of a gutless 2-0 defeat from Rangers on Saturday, Neil Lennon has confirmed that players could still miss their Europa League game against AC Milan this week.
Many fans had hoped that Odsonne Edouard and Jullien would be available midweek to prepare for a testing match against the Italian Giants.
However, Neil Lennon has confirmed that both players will likely miss that match also, the gaffer did state that there is a possibility that Christie could make a comeback for the tie.
Speaking with Celtic’s YouTube channel, Lennon said:
“Chris Jullien, I doubt very much will be available…maybe Ryan, maybe we’ll have Ryan back, we’ll have to see how it is over the next few days.”
Lennon reveals Edouard blow:
“He’s had cardiac and blood tests and we’ll see how he is. He’s not trained for nearly two weeks and only got back on Friday.
“We can’t take a chance on anyone’s health and he wasn’t ready anyway. We knew he had no chance but couldn’t say it publicly, I doubt he’ll be okay for Thursday.”
Although both these players haven’t exactly been outstanding this season, they still are vital players to Neil Lennon and the club.
Odsonne Edouard has been branded Celtic’s greatest striker since Larsson and that says it all, Edouard will be missed greatly.
