Celtic are said to still be in the mix for Hibernian winger Martin Boyle, although he has been offered a huge contract by an unnamed club in the Middle East.
Unsurprisingly, Ange Postecoglou looks to be in the market for multiple additions this window to add to his squad ahead of the second half of 2021/22. Already, he has secured moves for Daizen Maeda, Johnny Kenny, Yosuke Ideguchi and Reo Hatate as his January recruitment drive hots up.
Now, it looks as if the Aussie faces stiff competition as he targets one of his fellow countrymen.
The Scottish Sun has reported that although Boyle is still on Celtic’s radar, the 28-year-old has been offered a life-changing £1 million a year contract with an unnamed club from the Middle East.
Hibernian are said to be seeking about £3 million for his services, however, his head looks to have already been turned by the amount of money on offer from his suitors. Though it would be nice for Celtic to add another attacking player in the form of Boyle, it looks as if his future may lie elsewhere.
